Volunteer Information and Orientation Dates
2009-2010 School Year
Adult volunteers are invited to assist students the day they attend AmeriTowne. We recommend there be one adult for each of the 17 shops. Schools are responsible for obtaining and scheduling volunteers.
We strongly recommend that volunteers for the field trip attend an orientation session to learn about the Young AmeriTowne program and specific volunteer roles and responsibilities.
- All sessions are scheduled on weeknights from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Sessions will be conducted simultaneously at both locations listed below.
- Volunteers may choose to attend a session at either Headquarters (Cherry Creek) or Belmar (Lakewood). However, volunteers may want to attend a session at the location their school will be attending.
- Parents are asked to NOT bring children to the orientation session.
Young Americans Center for Financial Education-Headquarters, 3550 East First Avenue, Denver, is located on the southwest corner of First Avenue and Monroe, four blocks west of Colorado Boulevard. Free parking is available in the parking garage attached to the building.
Young Americans Center for Financial Education at Belmar, 401 South Pierce Street, Lakewood, is located off Alameda and Pierce, east of the Belmar Shopping Center. Free parking is available in the lot next to the building.

Young AmeriTowne staff will assist volunteers in finding a shop where they will feel comfortable and will provide instruction on shop equipment and procedures.
Parent Newsletters are inserted in student workbooks. Please encourage students to take these important information materials home! Volunteer orientation dates and times are listed, as well as directions to Young Americans Center.
